I was a little shook by this. I loved her vibe and I loved the way she loved her family. She was no push over but was a simple woman who seemed to provide a great balance and a huge amount of normalcy for the Obama’s - especially the children - when they were in the White House. ![]()
I for sure cried when reading the Obama’s official statement.
Definitely helped with the presidency by supporting the family and kids. She seems like a person I would like to have known.
It takes a village and she was an important part of the Obama strong village that helped make his presidency such an effective and impactful one.
I am currently reading (listening to) Michelle Obama’s The Light We Carry. Chapter Seven is Meet My Mom. It is a lovely tribute to Marian Robinson.
Both Michelle Obama and her mother, Marian Robinson, are beautiful human beings. Very sad.
She was an inspirational mother, grandmother and American. Some people would love to live at the White House, but it sounds like she endured it for the good of her family and the presidency.
