What a wonderful life he had. He gave many many people lots of laughs…and food for thought. We still enjoy watching reruns of a lot of his shows. He was a trailblazer in his field.

We now lost Norman Lear. :cry: Maybe it’s prudent to have one thread for all the losses, rather than start eap rate threads each time. So sorry to lose him too Memories of all those tv sitcoms!

What a legacy…those were the days.

I don’t think his shows could be made today – certainly not always “politically correct”.

I love that he was fully engaged with life up to the end. Lucky!

He absolutely was engaged!!! I heard him at a conference (The Nantucket Project) in 2016 where he was one of the keynote speakers. I was really impressed with his comments and insights–nothing senile about him.
