RISE Information?

Did anyone else get the email from RISE? I read through it and thought it was kind of interesting but I thought it would be a good idea to see what current students thought about it before signing up. Also, how is Hubbard Hall?

The Email that was sent:

Hello Spartan,

The Office of Admissions has notified me that you have been accepted to Michigan State University. Congratulations! I would like to invite you to consider applying to MSU’s Residential Initiative on the Study of the Environment (RISE). Through this program you will earn a specialization in environmental studies which will give you an edge in the new “green” economy.

Among the many benefits of the program you will have access to reserved class sections, in house free tutoring, peer mentoring, career advising and undergraduate research opportunities. Since RISE serves a wide variety of colleges and majors at MSU you will have the opportunity to learn about other majors and career possibilities. In addition, our goal is to insure you successfully transition to university life and excel academically.

If this is of interest to you I encourage you to visit the RISE website (link below) or email me to learn more. The deadline for Fall 2010 applications is March 31, 2010.

GO GREEN!

I am a huge advocate for any kind of living-learning experience. If environmental science interests you in the least, I highly recommend this. I will post more later when I’m not typing on my phone lol.
