??? That’s going to differ by school, no? It’s not like there is one uniform hs senior picture day.
At some schools, “senior pictures” are actually taken during the summer before senior year, and kids sign up for photo sessions as juniors.
Your kid may have already missed the deadline for signing up.
Make sure you understand and have signed up for the method that your child’s school uses for communicating with parents. Ours sends emails.
Ours makes weekly calls for information on the entire school. However, if it is a long call your answering machine cuts it off. They don’t have the same information on the school’s website. They have something on the school’s website on schools pictures but the contact teacher isn’t returning my emails. Do seniors still have announcements that they send out? When do they start outside scholarship applications?
Many schools now communicate with students and families using their on-line grading systems like jupiter grades, engrade, skedula, etc. They have options that you can be communicated to via text messages/email. Our school also uses phone master to send phone messages home and makes daily announcements. One of the biggest challenges is that students don’t read their email or pay careful attention to the text. Schools will also post important information on their website. BTW at my school the rising senior are taking pictures this week.
