Okay, rising junior at a rural high school–what should I focus on. My school has very limited options for AP. In fact 2 of my AP’s are going to be done through the Virginia Virtual OnLIne High School. The reason I’m doing them is if I don’t, I will have to take an unweighted class like Work and Family or Art or something else I don’t want to take. I can’t even get in Span 4 because it is directly across from the only Wind Ensemble. Wind Ensemble is the one area I will not budge from. Music is important for me. Beside, SPan 4 would have been unweighted anyway and I would have had to take Span 5 AP on line.

Goals–to be admitted as an engineer in the materials and sciences area, but at a school with a music program so that I can still participate in some musical areas and continue with tutoring. No real preference on size, probably suburban is better than urban, but I’m up for something different.

I also wish to be on the East Coast, preferably no more than 4 hours from NYC.

Any suggestions are way appreciated.
