Note: I haven’t taken the SAT or ACT yet.
PSAT Score: 184 Sophomore Year
GPA: 4.0 u.w.
Junior and Senior years nearly all of my classes are Honors or AP (only non-H/AP are Latin II, Health and required arts class)

ECs:
Cross Country (JV team, freshman and sophomore year, probably Varisity junior year)
Track and Field (JV team, freshman and sophomore year)
Tour Guide (freshman year, schedule didn’t allow sophomore year)
Youth Group at local church (Does this really count? We do community service and such once or twice a month)

Awards:
Excellence in Foreign Language Award (Sophomore year)
High Honor Roll (92% average, all six trimesters)
National Laureate on Le Tour du Grand Concours (Level I freshman year, Level II sophomore year)
Gold Medal on National Latin Exam (Level I sophomore year; highest award)

Now for my colleges:
Dartmouth (I don’t know what my chances there are, I doubt I could get in)
Davidson (One of the teachers I want to write one of the recommendation letters went to school there, as well as one of my uncles)
Amherst College
Middlebury (a lot of seniors at my school get in here every year)
Cornell
Columbia (My French teacher went to school there and won all sorts of awards; she’s one of my definate choices for a letter of recommendation)
Duke
Central Missouri State University (Backup school; both parents went there and my great uncle was Dean of Arts and Sciences)

As far as I can tell, my biggest problem will be ECs. My PSAT score was a little low, but it should be higher this year. Also, I don’t know if I’m reaching too far with these schools.
