Risky Approach??

My CommonApp long essay will be about how I grew and developed as a person throughout high school. During my first 2 years, I was apathetic about academics and ECs. My essay will detail how I learned from my mistakes and experiences to become a more mature and well-rounded person, by joining clubs and getting involved in ECs.

My approach to this essay right now is to divide it into scenes: each will contain a separate memory, and how I felt at the time. Readers should get the impression that I grew very much as a person. However, is this approach too risky? The scenes will not blend together, but they will be like “chapters” or “acts” in a play. This could either be brilliant or really bad. Any feedback on what I should do?

Unique, and, if executed correctly, possibly a winner.
