Congrats to all!! …no word for us yet. Do they send everything out in one day? I’m getting nervous…DS applied ED, this is his first choice. He is hard of hearing and applied through NTID so it may be a completely different date. I want to know, the suspense is killing me!
Iblondie62, I don’t think it’s a crazy long time to have to wait considering that you weren’t supposed to hear back about admissions this soon.
It’s great, you have time to think it over, let it sit in and then see what you’re going to get. Other acceptance letters can come in in the meantime and you have time to think it over. It is a big decision!

I think he applied mid Oct.
Mid October as well. I think she applied around Oct. 13th.
We applied Early Decision by end of September, all of letters of rec in by 10/15.
My son just received his acceptance into Mechanical Engineering. He has 94 average in school and lots of activities.We are overjoyed right now!!
Is notification just by mail, or will it be in the portal as well?
@18katydid he received an email tonight that there was a change in his status. He applied 10/14, but school didn’t send grades and recommendations until 10/31. We are from NY as well.
DS got the email tonight. Accepted ED into GDD program. We are ecstatic.
DS received notification this afternoon about update… received Presidential Scholarship $17,500 yr… we are thrilled and over the moon happy! Going to be a Tiger we think!!
For reference: 4.2 GPA, 34 ACT, 9 APs, 250+ community service hours, 2 internships in field, excellent essay and letters of rec likely good! Attended open house in Spring and College and Careers in summer so lots demonstrated interest. So excited!
Just for future reference, I know how nerve wracking this can be… my son received his acceptance on Nov 21st and then received his merit scholarship via email on Nov.22.
He received the Presidential Scholarship for $14,500. His weighted GPA 94, unweighted 91.5.
We have not received the financial aid packet. He is definitely going to RIT.
