RIT Class of 2024 ED or RD

@Patsyclarkstown Thank you!!

We got a letter to save the date for WE(Women Engineers) day in March. We are happy to see that some of the schools are really encouraging women in engineering. I guess you had to guess that the Kate Gleason school of engineering would be one of them. lol

What is the likelihood of getting more money from RIT? Really need about $5000 more

My son applied RD in October and today received a letter saying that his application was positively reviewed and to expect a formal acceptance in Feb!!!

Did the letter come in the mail or via email? Congratulations!

Yes my DD got that letter as well. It was kind of funny. Paraphrasing: We’re not ready to send you a formal acceptance yet but please don’t give up on us!

@philippians it was a letter in the mail.
Good Luck!!

Just regular mail, single page letter.

Thank you for the info!!

Son also received LL.

My son got a likely letter, as well.

We didn’t get it, uh oh!

Just curious where everyone who got the letters lives and if you wouldn’t mind sharing any stats

I applied in October RD for Computational Mathematics

1520 SAT campus visit solid EC’s and got my LL yesterday.

Are those that receive LL more likely to receive Honors College Admission and/or Merit Scholarships?

My son got a likely letter in the mail today too. We are in Florida.

Stats: ACT 35, Physics Subject test 700, Math II Subject Test 770, GPA:3.9something unweighted. (I don’t remember exactly right now). Homeschooled so no class rank. Had a couple interesting engineering projects too which I think helps give him a little notice. Has zero AP courses and zero dual enrollment though.

Major: Mechanical Engineering

He did not visit the school nor was in contact with anyone there. The only thing he did was send in the application. RIT is his 4th choice currently so he probably won’t go there but we will see what happens with the aid.

DS got likely letter Friday. Applied RD for comp sci I don’t know when.

Hello from the RIT Undergraduate Admissions Office!

We have been busy meeting with students and reviewing applications during these past few months. My team recently read your application and we are very impressed with your accomplishments. We feel your talents, interests, and personal goals are a great match for RIT, and we look forward to what you could add to our campus community.

Although RIT will not be sending out official letters of acceptance until February, we want to let you know that a favorable response from the admissions committee is likely.

From all of us here in Undergraduate Admissions, we wish you the best during the exciting months ahead.

Daughter OOS- NJ Applied Engineering RD round : wGPA 3.95, uwGPA 3.75 4 APs, ACT 32 Superscored. Many strong ECs w leadership positions
D also got a ‘likely’ letter in the mail and on email and now waiting like everyone else.
When do we think RD decisions will be released?
D is facing some tough choices as has acceptances from WPI, Purdue, Rutgers, U of Maryland (CP) and U of Delaware but still waiting on RIT, U Mass at Amherst, Virginia T and Vanderbilt (reach) - deferred at Case Western Reserve, rejected by Georgia T.
This is a long journey and its going to go to the wire I feel at the end of April! with merit $$ playing a role in her final decision. We won’t get any aid as EFC too high.
