<p>Has anyone here ever purchased anything from RitzCamera.com? I purchased a camera and memory card on January 6th and here I sit still waiting for both items!
I’m so angry I could spit nails!
Looking at the website, you really have to dig to find a phone number to call someone.
I used their online live help (3X) and it’s a waste of time. All they say is to wait 2-3 business days…I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused…you know, canned info.
The tracking number I was given said the camera was shipped on 1/14 from Topeka, KS. I just rechecked the tracker again and now it says item was shipped on 1/22 from Atlanta, GA. I told the CSR that if my camera was going on a world tour I’d like to be able to join it. They failed to see the humor…</p>

<p>I would not recommend this company and you can bet your monkey’s uncle I will never buy from them again.</p>

<p>Ritz Camera has brick and mortar stores in malls. If there’s one near you, maybe you could go there and get some kind of help.</p>

<p>Thanks for pointing out their poor customer service, though.I had considered ordering something from them once. Didn’t do it and now I’m glad I didn’t!</p>

<p>Usually electronic items are mailed with some sort of priority designation, so I am surprised that you haven’t received it yet. I’ve ordered books,though, that have come by the cheapest method available at the time. Sometimes my order will leave the company quite timely, but then it will sit at another destination, waiting for a truck to fill up with other delivery items, I suppose. </p>

<p>Delays are part of life and I wouldn’t throw out a company for that. But bad customer service is another matter and I don’t think that Ritz online will be on Santa’s nice list.</p>

<p>What I forgot to add was that I received a confirming email stating my camera was in stock and shipped on Jan 7th…but nothing about the card. </p>

<p>So, I figure it may be coming on the slow boat from China…since it’s now the 22nd.</p>

<p>Guess I will wait my “2-3 business days” before checking on it again. :(</p>

<p>I’ve never purchased anything from Ritz Camera. But the treatment described is sufficient to put them on my “B” list. And since there are many “A” list companies out there … I agree with PatsMom – go to a Ritz Camera store in a mall. If they say they can’t help, well at least you know the company isn’t customer friendly. </p>

<p>FWIW I’ve had wonderful camera and electronics purchase experiences with Abe’s of Maine.</p>

<p>we bought D’s digital SLR camera last spring as part of a dads and grads promotion from Ritz camera
Previous purchases had been at B & H in NYC, but they were out of stock or had a longer ship so I went with RItz. I didn’t have any problem though</p>
