I have always detested math, and I partly blame any instructor that I had in high school. Being older, anything mathematical seems foreign to me. I didn’t do so well on my Accuplacer math test and decided to start from the ground up with the most basic math concepts. In my college, there are only two math classes at the level that I am currently in. I am an A student, and I grasp things exceptionally well. My issue is that out of the two classes, the better professor’s occupancy is full, where as the class available with a waitlist, has the worst ratings I have ever seen. And these ratings are spread across the multitude of different colleges. Part of me feels like I should just brunt it, and deal with it since it’s a fast track, but I am worried about my GPA being lowered. I have had challenging professors before and have always succeeded.
Should I trust the ratings on this teacher on Rate my professor? I am at a loss on what to do, considering that there are only two classes available for this level.
Considering these ratings? What do you suggest I should do?
