So I’m having a really hard time deciding between Robert Morris University (the Pennsylvania one) and La Salle University in Philadelphia. I’m planning on majoring in biology, but I’m not sure which school would be a better match academically. I’ve visited both universities and met with a couple professors at each, but I would like to know if anyone has had any experiences with either university. Any help is welcome!

Halfmiler,
First, congratulations if you’ve been accepted to both schools. I don’t know much about Robert Morris, but my experiences at La Salle were life changing to say the least. Being in a big city like Philly can be a bit of a change if you’re from a smaller town, but La Salle’s campus offers the best of both worlds. When you’re there it’s a nice tight nit community with a beautiful, green campus. And at the same time, you are only a couple miles from Center City Philadelphia. I can tell you that La Salle University also has brand new science facilities that are state of the art, so that might be appealing as well. Good luck in your decision.

I graduated from La Salle as a Biology and Computer Science major. I was accepted to every dental school that I applied to, and matriculated at UPenn . My first year at UPenn was simply a review from what I studied at La Salle.

I highly recommend La Salle for Biology. My child is currently in the Honor’s program at LaSalle and couldn’t be happier.
