I have a funny story about how I literally came to a crossroads, “took the road less travelled” and got lost for two hours and up to my knees in mud. Moral is that there’s a reason why some things are metaphors I guess.

The whole literally coming to a crossroads thing seems like a cliche.
However, if you put add your unique twist, anything can be interesting. Although I haven’t read enough essays to know how adcoms will react, I think your getting lost for two hours bit seems original enough…

Eh well I was criss crossing every which way until I lost the path that I was lost on and then I decided just to bushwhack it (because I knew what general direction camp was). And I was going across a log thing and like some cartoon character lost my footing and fell. God it was probably a good thing I was alone. Happy New Year lol!
