Roast me probably lmao

So I feel like I’m aiming too high and need someone to yell at me haha :)))) anyways if my dream schools are Stanford Georgetown Berkeley and Northwestern I probably won’t get in right??? Ugh kill me I’m so stressed every day of my life
Anyways here’s my life story
For reference, I go to a private catholic school in the Midwest. My graduating class is ~70

Stats:
GPA (UW): 3.95
ACT: 31 [E/30 M/30 R/35 S/30]
Class rank: not provided
I’ve taken the hardest schedule possible at my school that offers literally 2 APs- lang, which I took as a junior (got a 3 bc the teacher didn’t know what he was doing) and calculus which I’m taking now. Other than that I’ve been in honors accelerated math every year and honors English
Schedule this year: calc, Spanish 4, adv European history (used to be AP but the kids all did so poorly on the test they stopped calling it that), theology, honors physics, dual enrollment composition (local community college), government, and robotics

ECs:
Gymnastics (11 years, team captain for two, state champion twice, stopped because of injury after sophomore year)
Piano lessons (12 going on 13 years)
Volunteered at a philanthropy organization junior year with a lot of responsibilities
Band for ~7 years (stopped in the middle of junior year because I got in a fight with the director kms :)))
Jazz band for 8 going on 9 years
Mock trial founding member and president
Learning languages via Duolingo/memrise etc…idk if this counts as an extracurricular but I’ve picked up Mandarin, Japanese, and Italian pretty easily
Musical for 2 years
Coordinator for blood drives at my school
I run a lot of 5ks for charity??? Acceptable or nah

Stats but like as a person
Female
Half Chinese/half white
Upper-ish middle class
One parent has a phd the other has a jd and myself I have the crushing guilt of being a dumb kid who lives in their house

My essay’s about language and being not white in a 93 or whatever percent white area
I also skipped a grade if that matters

My other questions for you guys are
-do I need more volunteer experience?
-should I take sat subject tests? I got a 1320 on dat boi himself (information I will not be sharing with anyone except the nameless faceless ccer who read this) so will it send all my scores?
-any tips for having bad (negative, disruptive during class, make fun of you for your interests) friends? Off topic but I need to know if I’m going to survive the rest of the year.

Other schools I’m considering:
Local public university (safety), already accepted and offering half the price of tuition in scholarships
Macalester
BU
Rochester
Johns Hopkins
Middlebury
Some other ones I can’t remember right now

This is pretty lengthy I know but since no one in the Midwest knows anything about anything I figured throwing this on here isn’t a terrible idea

Thanks!

Guess who’s dumb and forgot to include potential careers and stuff
Because languages come so easily to me perhaps an interpreter or translator? Or like whatever careers you have after being an international business major
Or a lawyer idk man mock trial was pretty lit

I think some of the other schools you’re considering are more realistic. Those schools like to see a harder curriculum although they might cut some slack given your situation. You have good ECs, but the 31 ACT is going to hurt for most of your dream schools. Berkeley is possible, especially if you’re a California resident. They will also love that type of essay(even though you’re half white and half asian which most people would say are the two races least discriminated against). I’d say good shot at Berkeley if in-state, decent shot at Georgetown, Northwestern is very unlikely, Stanford is basically impossible with those stats.

thanks dude!

shameless bump

I would consider doing a different essay topic. Affluent, half-white, educated family isn’t going to get much sympathy from readers.

-do I need more volunteer experience?

I think you could use some more leadership in the resume. I see president of one club, which is great, but most of the other big ECs you listed look like they ended in your junior year

If you can do well on a subject test, then yes it's to your benefit to take it. No it won't send all of your scores—you choose which scores to send to which colleges.

Don't let them get to you; distance yourself. A real friend doesn't make fun of you and probably isn't worth your time if they do.

alright, thanks!
