Hey,

I really want to get the Robertson scholarship and I would love it if someone gave me some tips in high-school to do so (I am a soft-more).

Thanks!

Judging by the Robertson scholars that I’ve seen posting on CC, you will need to have the kind of scores, grades, and ECs that would make you a strong candidate for HPYS. The Robertson scholarships are used to recruit students who otherwise would go to places like Harvard. Just look in the forums for UNC and Duke to see what kind of students have won the scholarships in the past.

What is a strong HYPS profile for an Indian Male?

Please give the GPA (unweighted), ACT/SAT scores, general SAT II scores etc. (all objective things)

Thanks!

I am not sure that there is HYPS profile for an Indian Male, just like I would not believe there is one for a Chinese male etc. May be I am wrong, but more generic statistics would be available based on say Asian etc. which should be pretty representative.

Again, your question is rather vague, a better approach would be to put your statistics or anticipated statistics and ask someone to comment. Also, the objective things are usually given in college websites for every college, (middle SAT scores, GPA range) or are available at USNWR and other places. The objective cannot be viewed without the EC’s and others. Stanford always emphasizes in their presentations that many students with a 4.0 GPA and 2400 SAT do not get in, but others with less stellar statistics on those two areas get in. Obviously the students who get in have something that Stanford (or any such school) wants.
