Robin Gibb has passed

Very sad day, he was a great force with the Bee-Gees, one of my favorite albums, Saturday Night Fever…donna summer and Robin Gibb, a sad few days for those who enjoyed the disco era…

I just saw it on Yahoo News. So sad!

I am so sad about this. Wonderful artist.

Just read this. RIP Robin.

I remember when “New York Mining Disaster 1941” came out when I was in high school. The sound was so different and the Bee Gees rose all the way up the ladder to the top.

What really is pathetic is a Whitney Houston thread got all kinds of replies, and she was a train wreck, and Robin Gobb carried no such baggage

Thank you for the music. R.I.P.

RIP Robin…thank you for being part of my life with your beautiful music

The Gibbs brothers are so special; I think the first song I remember was, “How can you mend a broken heart” which would play continually in my mind; my favorite is “Nights on Broadway” and I loved the way the brothers blended their voices. Never did like Staying Alive or Night Fever - preferred their classic style. Robin and his brothers were one of the greatest acts in my generation. Thank you gentlemen.

I loved their classics as well. Vividly remember listening to I Started a Joke on the radio when I was little. Robin’s voice was so unique, and I loved all of his songs.

My heart goes out to Barry, the last of the brothers. He was so crushed by Andy’s death, and although he and Robin had a lot of “history” together, I know this loss will be even harder on him.

So sad, to lose Robin Gibb and Donna Summer just a few days apart.

I really liked the original Bee Gees. Never took to their re-incarnation as disco (but then I’m not a disco fan.)

Regardless, his passing is sad. Been lots of good musicians lost too young lately.

I think the difference between Robin Gibbs’ death & Whitney Houston is hers was unexpective and a huge fall, while his cancer had been widely reported and his death expected. What’s most shocking is that 3 of the 4 of the BeeGees are gone - all too young.
