Oops, correction: unweighted GPA is 4.0, not 3.5
Son applied for early action. SAT is 1380. Weighted GPA is 4.3. 9 APs
waiting for school to evaluate application

My son was accepted today to Computer Science at RIT with a Tiger Pride Award. He has a 4.357 GPA, 1310 SAT, and 10APs. He is very excited!

Anyone hear anything more on when early action decisions come out? The admissions site indicates by Late January. Any more specific intel?

Both of my twins originally applied EA to RIT in October/November. One emailed admissions to switch to EDII on January 1. They got their acceptance on January 5! Clearly their application must have already been reviewed and just hadn’t released the decision.
No word yet for their EA twin.

Anyone know when early action results will be out?
It implies EA will come out after ED2s, so I’m am guessing they will start coming out after the 20th or so? But that is just a guess…it’s their first year with EA I think, so nothing to go one

Someone on reddit who claims to work at RIT posted that EA decisions started to roll out yesterday - hooray! However, the person said that decisions are coming out program by program and that it is possible that announcements will still not all be out be end of January. Some might not come until February.
That’s a wide window. My daughter hasn’t received her results yet.

I dislike schools when schools can’t keep their own deadline when students are expected to meet their deadlines.

Yeah, I am not sure how much trust to put in the reddit comment but I generally agree with your sentiment. I’m hoping my daughter’s program is one whose results will come out on the earlier side. I’ll hope the same for your kid too!
