Hi wondering if a good idea to to start a regular decision thread. RIT is one of my sons favorite schools and we hope they will be early like last year and start releasing RD about now! We are bursting with curiosity!
Hello, my son is eager to hear from RIT. He has been there a couple times and really liked it.
He applied in October, but wasn’t comfortable with even a “friendly” binding decision, so it feels like a very long wait.
Since that time, he’s gotten a few good offers from some great mechanical engineering programs.
Best of luck to everyone!
My son applied in October as well so it has been a long wait. Good luck
We have an update. Waiting for son to come home….
Interesting, I’m leaning towards thinking it’s not an admissions decision purely because there’s been mostly silence from RIT. But who knows
Will let you know!I think it is. Hi portal says update posted February 19th.
Yeah it sounds like it is. Just thought RIT would’ve announced it or something. Either way, good luck! Hopefully it is a decision I’m sick of waiting
It is an admission decision!
Yes he got in to mechanical technology engineering with presidential scholarship. RD. So happy we have had a lot of deferrals.
Congratulations! Hoping the others come soon
Thank you. Looks like last year it was done by school starting around this time. Check the portal as he had not gotten an email.
Best of luck !

My son’s portal hasn’t updated yet . On pins and needles since this is top choice.
My son’s portal has not updated, but hopefully the flood gates are opening!!
Hopefully in the next week if you look last year it all started about now and was slowly released the following two weeks.
I had heard decision have been released by the college your major is housed in, so wondering if anyone who applied to a major in the Art & Design College has heard back yet. Thanks!
Nope, still waiting.
Son admitted this afternoon for Cybersecurity.
