I recently visited the University of Rochester campus and noticed that there appeared to be no places around the campus for students. The river, a cemetery, and the medical buildings surrounded the campus. Where and what do Rochester students do for fun? Is there an area off campus or is the social life entirely based on campus?

There are buses that go downtown and to shopping centers.
Lots of students walk places (Mt. Hope area)
There is also a lot of on campus social life

And after freshman year, many kids have cars.

We all hang out at the cemetery (usually next to Frederick Douglass’ grave). It has a nice flat top for drink placement.

But seriously,

is one of the best places to look up things on Rochester social life - bars, clubs, restaurants, adult entertainment, shopping, parks, etc, etc. Use it.
