Anyone else have a favorite?
I’m so happy Phil Collins is being recognized as a solo artist. He is one of my favorites. He was included as a member of Genesis in 2010, but the award this year is for him as a soloist.
I hope they do a small special exhibit about him at the museum!

● Wu-Tang Clan
There were 17 nominees put up for selection this year, more than ever. The results of the balloting mean that nine contenders did not make it in for 2026 (the Hall would surely prefer that you not call them snubs). These are: the Black Crowes, Jeff Buckley, Mariah Carey, Melissa Etheridge, Lauryn Hill, INXS, New Edition, Pink and Shakira.”

INXS isn’t in the Rock Hall yet? What?!?
Honestly I think some of the people passed over deserve it more.
My votes would be Phil Collins, Iron Maiden (because my H would kill me if I didn’t give them a nod and actually their music is pretty cool), INXS, Pink, Shakira, Mariah Carey, Melissa Etheridge, and Black Crowes.
Sade!!! I have listened to her since she first came on the scene in the early 80’s, and still listen to her almost weekly. Diamond Life is one of my favourite albums of all time.
Luther Vandross is another favourite of mine. I watched his documentary last year, and it made me fall in love with him and his music again. It is worth a watch - “Luther - never too much”.

The Rock Hall is anything but Rock Hall members. It’s a very cool place to visit but pathetic as a list of HOF inudctees. I mean, Billy Idol, c’mon. Oasis, Sade.
Great talents but the Hall of Fame should mean something.

I love the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and visit every single time I’m in Cleveland (a few times a year). In fact, I’ll be there at the end of the month again.
I’m looking forward to what they put together to honor this year’s inductees…and I fully want Phil Collins to be front and center. I was surprised to learn this is the first year he has been nominated as a solo artist. So happy he was chosen.

As a museum, the Rock Hall is great. My son could have done the be part of the band thing all day - he played two guitars and drums and just loved it. Most the exhibits were super cool.
But some of the choices are certainly head scratchers. It’s very “watered” down.
The crazy thing was - there was more about Ice-T there when I went (the Ice-T of SVU fame) then most anyone.
Wait. What? Odafin Tutuola is a musician?!? 
And he’s not even in the R&R Hall of Fame
And yet was all over a whole area - and his life story is fascinating, btw. I remember one story was about him breaking a contract.
It had to do with hip hop and how he helped propel the growth - if I remember correctly. He was very prominently there.
