<p>I guess that’s just human nature though, because humans generally love offense more than defense. The old saying: offense sells tickets, but defense wins championships…and that’s why a lot of players don’t find Tim Duncan fun to watch even though he’s one of the all time greats.</p>
<p>Haha, rooting for Roddick, but Federer’s a flippin beast, so we’ll see.</p>
<p>It’s interesting you mentioned Tim Duncan. Rather than offensive vs. defense, I think Duncan’s a model basketball player who, for better or worse, doesn’t have anger management issues, crazy tattoos, a history of drug dealing, or all-star narcissism. In short, the not-so-brilliant public likes eccentric, stand-out guys.</p>
<p>Federer will win whether the opponent is Roddick or Murray. He is on top of the world right now and when he really feels good, he’s pretty unbeatable. Roddick is just such a bad match up with Federer. Federer loves his game and beats it every time. He’s deemed the G.O.A.T already and if he wins tonight he’ll surpass the all time grand slam record with a number 15 slam. I’m just glad the ‘oldies’ are back. Roddick, Hewitt, Ferrero, Haas all showed the young guns (murray, del potro, nadal) that they’re back and not so easily dismissed as the press says. </p>
<p>Roddick has surely improved a lot but nothing will stop Federer from going into the record books yet again…this time on his ‘home’ turf, Wimbledon.</p>
<p>I am hoping for Roddick; however, it is inevitably going to be Federer’s 15th title.</p>

<p>yeah feddy is a stud but i feel for roddick as his career didnt blossum would have been great for him if he won…hopefully he’ll get the US open…nadal isnt a big threat on hard court</p>

<p>I feel like Roddick got the crap shoot of being born now. Think about it, if Nadal/Fed weren’t such powerhouses Roddick would have a decent chance, but now for now he’ll always be overshadowed.</p>
