I am a high school senior this year in New England and I’m having a really hard time making my decision. I would really appreciate help from parents, current students, and others in my situation. I am a B student and have been improving every year in high school; my major is undecided and could be anything from architecture to accounting.

Roger Williams University is my first choice. However, my girlfriend is definitely attending next year. My mom doesn’t want me to go to RWU because of this; she thinks it’s a terrible idea for us to go to the same college and believes that I am basing my decision on her. We have been dating throughout high school and have an incredible relationship (yes I am only 18 but I am very in love with her). We knew we would have to go through college and we agreed from the start that we would not base our decisions on each other or even talk too much about it, so how do I get my mom to believe that RWU is my real first choice?

Endicott and Marist are two other schools on my list, my mom wants me to go to Marist, but I’m not a huge fan. What is Marist really like? Would I be better off there than at RWU or Endicott? I like Endicott, but I’m unsure of how I feel about the internship program. I understand that it is a great opportunity, but I feel like I will be stressed with a new internship every year along with college. Also, does Endicott have a good reputation in the professional world?

Thanks
