Some schools like Western Reserve Academy and Culver Academies have rolling admissions. If you wanted apply to those schools around april or may, will the chances of you getting in be lower?
And WRA has a semi-deadline and rolling admissions. What does that mean?
Thanks

Are you referring to their listings on boardingschoolreview? It is best to check directly with the schools. I think Culver’s listing is out-of-date, and rolling admissions at a school varies by year. For WRA, they put down the application deadline for the regular cycle and then said that they took applications after that on a rolling basis.

I think it is best to apply to these schools now in their regular admissions cycle. While they may take applications on a rolling basis after the first deadline, it may be more competitive, and they may have enough of whatever your special talent is. For example, if you are a star soccer goalie, they may have already enrolled two star goalies during the regular cycle. A school may find that more boys than girls accepted their offer of admission, so during the rolling period, they favor girls. Does that make sense? Also, if you need financial aid, you really want to apply during the regular cycle. There may not be any fa left after the regular cycle.

Thanks BurbParent I was wondering what about Culver Academies that have no semi-deadline(I checked both Peterson’s and BoardingSchoolReview). Do they have a cycle?

Why not send an email to Culver admissions or give them a call tomorrow? They can explain to you what their deadline is. Perhaps they take applications until the class is full, but I just don’t know. Good luck!
