Update -
Can you all believe that he is going to be ONE next Wednesday? Because I cannot.
I just did a dump of more photos including a few videos of him walking. He’s fully walking now but still not talking much. He understands us though. He’s been a great baby and we’re so lucky to be his parents.
We are having a very small, outdoors party tomorrow for him and then a short virtual party for him on his birthday.
I ended up breaking my ankle a few weeks ago and have been laid up since the surgery. It was not what I expected for his first birthday but luckily we had grandma to step in and take care of things for us so he could still get a little party.

Thank you! We had a zoom birthday today and it was OK except that he was a total crab lol.
Having his first year during the pandemic has been a whirlwind to say the least, but now that Mr R & I are both vaccinated, we’re looking forward to a more normal-ish summer. Just can’t wait for little one to get his vaccine. (All the trials are too far away!)

@yauponredux oy it took me forever to get back on here. Somehow the website seems to have gotten worse lol.
Anyway, ankle is still healing but I’m able to walk on it now.
Baby Ren is 16 months now. We have about 10 words (that he still uses sparingly) and he started daycare a few weeks ago where he is thriving. He still loves his dog and is still the happiest baby ever.
We’ve spent most of the summer in the water because the kid loves his water.

One more picture since I’m on here so rarely. He IS so big now. He’s shot up to the top of the chart in height.
He’s also so smart, is a little bookworm, and LOVES music. He plays our piano keyboard and his grandparents recently got him a drumset (which lives at their house) and it is his favorite.
