I am guessing boy, but I am sure it doesn’t matter! Wishing you all the best.
Nope doesn’t matter at all. It is fun to see what people come up with though
Mr R just painted my toes and I am so happy with all the star wars and sports stuff we were given. So we’ve got the whole gender spectrum covered - whatever they end up being/identifying as.
Good luck from us in HI too! My labors and deliveries were both fine as well. I’m sure you will do just great whether Mr R is allowed to be present or not. Looking forward to the great news of Ren’s healthy arrival! Any gender works for me!
Adding my good wishes! Will be thinking of you and Mr R tomorrow. Does he know how to post an update on CC?
I’m terrible at predictions - I was sure S was a girl and equally convinced D was a boy. So I’m going to guess you’re having a boy which, with my track record, means you are probably having a girl.
He doesn’t but I could tell him how. He knows about my CC family. He’ll be updating family and his guild (his online family) so I can probably get him to add this to the rounds.
I just had a mini heart attack because there is now a big note on U of M’s site that says no visitors. But if you did deeper, L&D and pediatric patients still get one. Unless you’re covid + or under investigation.
Yup I’m SO happy I’m giving birth this week. I want to stop looking at these ever intensifying restrictions.
On a happier note, I told my extremely judgmental sister about our tentative name and she approved of it lol.
@garland Same experience for me. I have 4. kids, 2 of each No mother or sisters or useful help from a mother in law or anyone. Childbirth and first 6 months pretty brutal. First one was a 47 hour labor and she was colicky for 6 months. In hindsight, I’m sure part of that was my not giving over completely to her ( like nursing one hour out of every two. She would have liked. I couldn’t do). I didn’t like infancy but I did absolutely love every one of my babies from the first hold in my arms.
Infancy wasn’t fun until maybe 6 months old. Later babies were fun a little sooner-probably because I did not jump to their every need like I had for first born because they were not an only child like firstborn had been so they always had to wait.
Our youngest has been the most independent and arguably the most successful. NOT that this is the be all end all but she ended up at Harvard. She threw in an application there last minute without anyone knowing. She had many other great options as well. When people ask what we did (meaning what did we do to impact her success), we tell them she was the most neglected of our children. That is completely the truth, too.
@romanigypsyeyes I just checked back in to CC for a quick look around after being gone for more than a year and first thing I found is your news. I’ve spent an hour trying to get caught up. What a journey you have had. So happy that you are coming to the end of this phase of it. All the very best to you and Mr. R and baby R, too. Here goes!
Omg, tomorrow? *We’re there?/i
I am always wrong. So at this point, knowing that all along I’ve envisioned this child as a boy, I’d go with girl.
Again, thank you so much for sharing. I’m not sure it would be as much fun if it were anyone but our Romani.
So excited for you! Is tomorrow really the day? Wow! Hope it all goes well. It’s definitely a girl.
Even though this is a pretty awful time in all our lives, I actually think it’s a good time for a baby. The next few months will be challenging, no two ways about it. Might as well be confined at home with a new baby now. And your hubby will be around too, which is an additional silver lining.
I think I’ll look at my kids’ first year albums today and try to remember that delicious smell of a newborn. Good luck and hope it all goes well!
Sending positive vibes and virtual xxx
Wishing you all the best! I know you wrote that you worry about being a parent, but it is the BEST job in the world! You’ll learn as you go along. Wishing you an uneventful labor and all the joy that comes with bringing a baby into the world!
All of our love and hopes go with you. What a big moment for you!
Sending you positive vibes! I hope you have an easy labor. I was induced with my 2nd (2 weeks overdue) - 6 hour labor that went relatively smooth (except for the construction going on somewhere in the hospital & me threatening to go jackhammer that person causing the noise).
My DD will be 21 tomorrow! So here’s me throwing in my 2 cents that you’re having a girl! We love being a part of your journey!
I just have this image of her with her cell phone or IPad and when she takes breaks updating us… Lol… Please don’t do that! ??
CC is having a baby!!!
Happy landings and love to all of you!
Here we go!
When I was pregnant with #2, a psychic told me he was definitely a girl. Wrong.
I don’t claim any psychic powers. I envision Ren as a girl. Either way, he/she is already very loved by a multitude of people, and will be absolutely beautiful.
All the very best to you and Mr.R
Adding more good wishes for a safe, easy, happy, healthy, and painless as possible birth!
Moms can’t help remembering the births of their children in great detail! I won’t do that here, except to say that I had 5 induced labors (of 8) that averaged about 7-8 hrs. each–but none of those was my first. Hoping yours doesn’t go on too long!
Guessing “boy”-- because my cousin had twin boys last week.
Will be thinking of you tonight/tomorrow and looking forward to your happy news!
Speak for yourself @Knowsstuff I want all the updates I can get!
Lol… She posted on the US virus thread about an hour ago!!
So guess it didn’t happen yet ?
