Woo Hoo! Welcome and blessings to all!
I can’t explain to my husband why there are tears of joy running down my face.
Hurrah for post #1498!!!
Happy tears for you, hubby, and your baby boy!
I’m overwhelmed by this entire experience. A near stranger just shared one of her most significant experiences with us, 8 or more months of her life, leading to a new life. Phenomenal. Brave. And a fine example of how love can be shared.
Thank you.
Congrats. Between you and Mr R, you will be fine parents.
Congrats! And best thread to top my notifications in weeks?
Welcome, Ren. So many are cheering your arrival.
So excited!! Congratulations!!
I’m so overwhelmed by all the love here. Thank you.
6 lb 11 oz, 19.5", born 37+1 (weeks and days). There are a few pictures up in the album. I’m going to go to sleep for a while so if you don’t have the album link, PM those who do
Ren has been moved to the NEST, a type of like shorter term NICU. He is having some problems clearing his lungs so they’ve taken him there for extra treatment. It is nothing to worry about, he just had a LOT of fluid when he was first born and he hasn’t been able to cry yet. Just grunts. He’ll be there until 1 (2 hours from now) and then they’ll send him to the NICU if he’s not responding to treatment. They said it could take up to a day to get fluids out of his lungs.
I’m alone in my room because only one of us could go with him and since I’ve held him since birth, we sent Mr R. I will not be allowed in because of covid rules. (So typing all this up is a nice distraction.)
I’m doing just fine. My epidural wore off (for the third time) right as active labor started but by that time he was coming and I just had to deal with it.
I ate two whole subs from Jimmy Johns and now I’m going to take as long of a nap as possible lol.
Oh and we video called my mom in so while she wasn’t there in person, she was still able to be with us. That was very special and a make do with a bad situation solution.
How wonderful to see the good news! Welcome to the world, little Ren Alexander and congratulations to the new mom and dad. May you have a lifetime of wonder and joy ahead of you, Ren!
Adorable photos of him.
And that mural is fabulous.
