Again, thank you everyone for your well wishes. I’ll go back and read them eventually.
Ren is doing OK. They did admit him to NICU and he has a CPAP for breathing support. Since only one of us can go see him (not at a time - one period), Mr R will be visiting him after he gets some more sleep. The NICU staff all say he’s doing very well though. He does not like getting cleaned but is otherwise a pretty happy baby. No crying during pokes or anything. He’s also on IV nutrients so we haven’t been able to feed him or anything.
It turns out I’m having some complications so we’ll be in here until at least tomorrow night, regardless of how Ren is doing. Nothing to worry about, just some monitoring because some test results came back wonky.
I’m so happy that our little family has brought joy to so many people. We feel so loved and supported by everyone and could not have asked for a better community - virtual and physical communities - to bring him into.
Sending many healing thoughts your way. Sorry you have to stay longerr in the hospital. Ren is a beautiful baby. Love the light sabers and the nursery.

One of my sons was born about 9:30 PM on March 31st, so it’s certainly a special day for me.

Sending positives vibes to you and Ren! I think it’s a good idea they are keeping both of you in the hospital for now. I know how hard it must be that you can’t see him at the moment - but it’s best for his safety.
And try to get a good rest - you will need it once you get home.
