Haha I was just kidding HI. Though from that list, I’m guessing the real secret is living in a place without a winter so that we’re not cooped up inside
But thank you

I almost never read the bragging thread, so missed it there. Would LOVE to see the pictures. Please??
I already got the photos link, but congrats once again!! I’m definitely going to hit you up whenever I get married - I love the DIY and thoughtfulness you put into everything.
What a wonderful wedding! So joyous, so individual! I had a smile plastered to my face the entire time I was looking at the pictures.
And I must say, your eyes are indeed incredible.
Your hair looked fabulous: fantasy hair! And your spouse is adorable. (As is, of course, the dog…
)
Thank you so much! I was proud of my hair for staying up as well as it did though by the end of the night, the curls were completely gone lol. It doesn’t tend to stay up very well.
I really hope our kids have my eyes. His are brown but our blue gene tends to be pretty strong. All of my cousins on my mom’s side have blue eyes despite one brown eyed parents. fingers crossed
it was my goal to lose some weight before the wedding but then life got in the way. Oh well! The dress fit and we were all happy! Plus, it gives us a new goal as a married couple (though his goal is to put ON weight!)
Your pictures were a joy to look at! What a picture perfect weather day! I fully love the setting and the fact that everyone looks as totally happily relaxed as the setting!
And the cupcakes look YUMMY!!!
Beautiful memories for you!
I only wish I could have contributed truffle favors, as I did for HyperJulie.
Aww that would’ve been lovely. We did polished Petoskey stones for favors… but forgot to explain what they were so non-Michigan people think they just got random rocks. Oh well!
youve been so generous in sharing your journey with us all. I would love love love to see the photos, too.
Congratulations! and would love to see the photos.
H’s family has a house on Little Traverse Bay in Petoskey. We’ll be there in early July.
I know Little Traverse very well. I used to go on vacation with family friends who had a house on the bay in Harbor Springs. Beautiful, beautiful place.
I also spent several summers in Indian River less than a half hour from Petoskey. LOVE northern Michigan in the winters… but dang can those winters be brutal!
Having followed a bunch of your posts, will you add me to the list to share in the photo viewing? My daughter recently got engaged and so I’m even extra interested!
Best wishes, Romani! I’ve loved reading about your journey and would love to see your pictures!
@romanigypsyeyes !! Wow, I loved seeing these photos of your special day! First, you are a beautiful bride. You look so happy! It seems like everyone was having a great time. I love the setting of the ceremony right on the water. The blue ribbon on your dress is pretty and unique. Did someone create your dress for you? I wish you and your husband a life of wedded bliss!
Thank you, soozie!
Nope, the dress was a very cheap one from David’s Bridal and the sash was an added on piece from there, too. My veil was made by a close friend. She actually made a stuffed animal version of my dog, too, and gave her a veil using some extra material from mine. It was absolutely adorable and my dog loves it lol.
Well, you looked very pretty in the dress and it fit you very nicely. I thought the blue sash was a unique touch and that made me think that someone had made the dress especially for you.
Digressing a bit, just because the engagement is pretty new in my family and wedding plans are not really too much in motion other than some preliminary thoughts…but in terms of the wedding dress…my other daughter who is not yet engaged, and I, were joking that her sister who is engaged has NEVER liked wearing white clothing. She has never wanted to buy white shirts or dresses, etc. Has never been into white. So we were like, oh, what is she going to do now that she is getting married and brides tend to wear white?? LOL I mentioned this, jokingly to the daughter who is engaged and she said, she thought about that already and will likely consider a dress that is not pure white…maybe ivory or champagne or something. She said she is considering having a dress made and asking a Tony winning costume designer she is friendly with who designed her costumes in two shows she has been in, to see if she is willing to design a wedding dress for her. We shall see.
I’m not sure if you can tell in the pictures, but my dress is Ivory- a very light Ivory but Ivory nonetheless. I do not own anything white and literally haven’t owned a dress since high school before this. I did go on a shopping spree about a week before the wedding to get a few dresses so I had things to wear that looked somewhat nice during the rehearsal dinner and whatnot (which ended up being cold so it was moot!) And by that I mean I went to one store, found a style that kinda OK on me and bought about 7 dresses in that style…
It is very, very common for brides to wear off white not so I wouldn’t worry at all about that. That is so cool that she might have one made for her! I’m sure it’ll be absolutely gorgeous.
Does the lucky guy use CC? If so, what’s his username? If not, tell him to sign up - it’d be romantic lol.
LOL he does not and while we met in college and he has his undergrad degree, he’s fine never, ever doing anything with college ever again.
I can tell him to sign up but I’d be shocked if he ever posted. I’ll float the idea to him in the morning.
