Ron Brown Scholarship: SAT score question?

For the Ron Brown Scholarship, do you need to submit ALL SAT scores, or can you choose? And do you need to send an official score report as well?

While I’m here, I have another question: for the essay you wrote for a college, can you use your Common App essay? And would it be a bad idea if my common app essay were about how I identify as Ethiopian and not African-American, since the Ron Brown scholarship is for African-Americans? Thanks for any help!!

Maybe you should change it.

@Madison85 Okay, that’s what I was thinking. Do you know anything about my SAT score question?

Also, new question: when you list activities, can someone provide me with an example of the formatting? Are we allowed short descriptions, like how it is on the Common App or is it just the title of the position?

Anyone? Also, can someone tell me which activity I should write about? I can either do an essay about how I struggled to learn flute in seventh grade but now I’m one of the best flutists, or I could do it on how I helped out with my city’s participatory budgeting last year (youth get to vote on how to spend a million dollars) and I researched and wrote proposals and met with city officials, etc.

@lilypippili

Yoir essay has to be your voice. Why don’t you sit down at your computer, and start writing…first about one topic, and then the other. See which one is YOU.

@thumper1 thanks! I went with the second one because that activity is more important to me. I just had an essay already prepared for the first one so I was being lazy haha
