<p>Has anyone ever lived in a room which is right next to stairs? I am bit concerned about the location of my room in Dyer Hall… How much noisy it would be?</p>
<p>first of all that depends on what floor you live on and which door you are by. only two of the doors are are work the rest are fire exits. that being said, the 2nd floor can get a little loud if people like to hang around on the stoop, the thrid floor- you will prob. get more noise from the people on the hall then passing by the door and fourth floor shouldn’t be a problem because people normally congregate on the lower floors.</p>
<p>My room was across from the stairs freshman year on the 4th floor of Reinke. It wasn’t too bad, except the guy below me liked to (badly) play the guitar, which would echo right up the stairs. Our stairwells all had doors at each floor though, so you can always close them to block some of the noise.</p>
