<p>sorry if this has already been asked… i tried a search but didn’t find anything.</p>
<p>i just filled out my housing & i’m confused by the online roommate selection process… the questions don’t seem to really make sense (ex. Freshman: Always, Sometimes, Never; Undergrad: Always, Sometimes, Never; Grad: Always, Sometimes, Never; Yes: Always, Sometimes, Never)… anyone have any luck with this? and if i just leave it blank and hope for the best, will that put me at a disadvantage?</p>

<p>I just changed everything to the “don’t care” option and it gave me a long list of people. Just go thru their profiles to see which ones are close to your answers. </p>
<p>I think I’ll just leave my roommate up to chance.</p>

<p>I clicked on someone random. They want complete quiet and they make their beds all the time and they want someone who does the same. </p>
<p>Clicked someone else. They listened to folk and easy listening and wanted someone with similar lack of musical taste.</p>
<p>This is BS. I want someone who’ll share their clothes and help me do my makeup :(</p>
<p>hahaha I remember this roommate selection process last year. I actually just PM’d someone cool I met on CC, asked her about her sleeping patterns and made sure that ours were similar, whether she was the wild partying type (finding vomit and a passed out person in my room when I wake up is a no-no for me) or not, and we e-mailed the admissions office and just requested each other. As crazy as our meeting sounds (meeting your roomie on CC? lol), we get along great and we’re really close now 
Besides, I didn’t want to chance getting a roommate whose sleeping patterns and social life were too different from mine, because I def heard some horror stories about roommates before!</p>
<p>Whatever you guys do, just make sure that your roomie has similar sleeping patterns as you do. If you don’t it’s really difficult. I have friends who have to turn off the lights completely at 11 while they themselves go to sleep at 2 or 3, and it drives them completely up the wall!</p>

<p>…yeah i don’t sleep much but i get by fine lol…at my alumni scholarship interbiew today the guys like, “at orientation they say u have time to do 2 of 3 things: study, sleep, or party”…i think i’ll choose study and party haha</p>
<p>if you leave sleep out of daily life…believe me…you will change your mind! college students live to sleep. :)</p>
<p>Hahaha hibiscuspink I know what you mean. I just want somebody who is really fun and will dance around while we’re getting ready to go out and will provide me with a doubled wardrobe and will not mind my pink Chi and girliness and occasional superficiality.</p>

<p>My biggest problem is probably finding a roommate that won’t snore x_X I’m a really light sleeper</p>
<p>It only works for me if I leave it at “don’t care” for a lot of them</p>
<p>and for the most important questions pick “same as my profile”
then you’ll get people who have the same answers as you for some of the questions</p>
<p>P.S.>if you like to party as well as stay up late but also study, and aren’t a complete neat freak but not too messy and dont smoke, pm me =)</p>

<p>so when did everyone apply for housing? I want to get an idea about where I am in the housing line LOL i applied around March 18th ish</p>
<p>I think you have a good chance of getting your first choice. A couple options disappeared when I applied yesterday though (Some dorms only had double w/ sink vs. only a double) So for those who havent applied yet I recommend applying ASAP.</p>
