<p>I’m guessing that it would be by major, so at least you’d have somebody to walk to academic advising and such with. But it shouldn’t really matter as it’s only an overnight stay now and you’ll probably be staying up that night with your hall or something.</p>

and does it HAVE to be with someone who has the same intended major as u?</p>
<p>When I went to SPOP a few years ago, I don’t really remember anybody knowing their roommate, so I am not really sure if you can request one. It would only be for one night anyways and mostly everybody is relatively open and such.</p>
<p>On the site they said they just do it by gender, i don’t think it really matters anyhow who we stay with that night.</p>
