So I’m a freshman at college and live in a quad with three other guys. One of them goes out every night, the guy knows how to have fun, but he is black, and if I went with him, I’d be the only white in the group. The other two do absolutely nothing. They come from class and crash on their laptops or sleep. They don’t like leaving the dorm door open. I’ve been to parties and hung out but during the week, it’s so dead. All guys on my floor hangout with their roommates but I can’t because they won’t even move a muscle. Any tips?
Maybe you should try hanging out with the black guy. Just once and then you’ll know if it feels natural or not to hang out with a diverse group.
Unless he’s made it clear you’re not welcome I’d go out with him. Whats wrong with being the only white guy in a group?
My advice for freshmen is to do as many things you can with as many people as you can so you can meet new people.
