ROP Class -- good or bad?

Hi, I had a very good internship over the summer with the Haas Business school at UC Berkeley.

Along with the internship was a class, which can count on the transcript for credit.

It is non-weighted, so it will bring my weighted gpa down and my unweighted up. both pretty slightly though.

Is this ROP class worth putting on my transcript? ps. ill still mention the internship. this is only whether i shoudl say i took the “school to career” class

commmmmmmon

im not sure but …at my school, all ROP classes are taken by non-college bound studnet so…im not really sure…

I would put it on your transcript. I don’t see how doing more could possibly hurt you, unless somehow it brings your weighted GPA down enough to reduce your ranking. It probably won’t factor into your academic GPA, though, so no problem there.

I really see no problem in putting it down; not only do colleges factor in the rigor of your schedule, they also look to see that you are doing other things aside from just 10 AP classes. Like people said above, as long as it doesn’t significantly drop your ranking/GPA, put it down
