BA 201: Business Thought & Action
Does anyone know about this class?
good class? or better take other elective?

sounds like ******** to me

feathr…Thanks.

im serious. dont take it… you will learn nothing concrete and substantial. it’s literally a class that’s coffee table chat in a lecture room.

FYI, I teach this class. I recommend that anyone interested in taking this class talk to anyone who has taken this class. It receives really high evaluations and I have great interactions with students during the semester and in the years after they take the class. As for “coffee table chat”: if you don’t take the class seriously, you won’t learn anything. If you listen and think, you will.

^Shameless plug to increase enrollments for a BBA class by bumping a 2 year old thread? ;)

Yeah, I was worried that it would look like that. A reasonable interpretation. But, no, enrollments are fine. It might be a 2-year-old thread, but it pops up real high on a Google search for the class name, and I just happened to do such a search yesterday for the first time.

When the original comment was made, the class was being offered for the first time. It’s now in its third year, and we have a lot of official evaluations on record and not just one person’s off-the-cuff response. All I’m doing here is saying that any reader shouldn’t act on just this data point. I don’t think it’s representative of how students feel about the class. But you don’t have to believe me, either. I absolutely love this class, but I’m probably (!) biased. Anyone can talk to me in the Winter Garden where I meet students for my office hours, even if they’re not in the class, if you want to check me out and see what I’m like or hear more about the class. But, also, look at the online evaluation record or talk to students who are in the class now.

That’s the only point I wanted to make.
