What is the acceptance rate for this program? Is it equivalent to an econ degree at an Ivy in terms of job opportunities, etc.?

business and economics are two different programs. i would say it would afford you a more real-world background upon which to market yourself when looking for a job. that said, there are advantages to a liberal arts background too. (although lots of ross folks do consider double majors/double degrees)

for acceptance rates look here: http://www.bus.umich.edu/Admissions/Bba/09PAProfile.pdf

i just received my acceptance to ross pa today.

Ross is>>> than an econ degree from an Ivy school, especially if you pay in-state versus $52,000/yr for an ivy school.

HYP do give you good contacts though, what you are paying here for is the connections, but you are not getting a “better” education.
