Ross Regular Admission-- Girls.

So… looking at the accepted students demographics (for freshman transfers from LSA), do you guys think Ross takes gender/race into account much?

Obviously, white males make up the majoity of the student body. Girls comprised just 34% of last year’s accepted class; I’m assuming far more males applied than females, but perhaps I’m wrong. Given the disparity in the class of 2014 (and likely previous years), do you think it might be easier for girls to get into Ross?

I am a current Ross BBA student, and I don’t think so. By and large, I would say the women admitted to Ross are just as smart and driven and as its men. I would guess that the gender disparity in admissions is largely the same as the gender disparity in applications.

However, there are efforts to recruit more minority students. All of the programs I am aware of try to get more minority students to apply to Ross by appealing to high school students. However, I do not know if the admissions department explicitly takes race into consideration.
