Does anybody have experience with the Ross School of Business? Is paying oos tuition worth it as a pre-admit when I can attend UCLA or Berkeley in state for half the price? Thanks!

I’m in Ross. If you want to work in NYC or Chicago or anywhere on the east coast really when you graduate then yes it’s definitely worth it. The career services office is phenomenal and a ton of top companies recruit at Ross for their HQ (usually NYC or Chicago) offices. If you are fine staying in California then stay in-state.

It depends on you and your family’s ability to pay. If your family can afford it without any problems, then yes, it’s worth it. If your family would struggle to pay it or if you’d have to take out loans, then I’d say no. In a situation in between those two, you’ll just have to decide for yourself what you think is worth it.

Haas is a good alternative to Ross, although it is riskier, since you have been pre-admitted at Ross. Also, as maizeandblue21 pointed out, if you wish to work in the Midwest or East Coast, Ross has the edge over Haas. However, I am not sure any of this is worth the extra $100k unless, as entenduintransit points out, your family can easily afford to difference.

UCLA has no substitute for Ross. Bus-Econ is a solid program, but it is not nearly as well recruited as Ross.
