I am a freshman in the College of LS&A at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and I wanted to know whether the Ross School of the Business uses the official or unofficial transcript when making the admissions decisions for current Michigan students.
This is because I am thinking of late dropping one of my classes because not only is the teacher an ass**** but he makes the tests disproportionately harder than the course material and revision help he gives. So as a first term freshman, I will be able to drop the class WITHOUT getting a W on my official transcript, however, it will be on my unofficial transcript.
I havent dropped out of the class yet and I am waiting to hear back on feedback.

How do you think an “W” would look on an unofficial transcript to Ross (in the case that they did use it)? Will it influence their decision to accept me, because I REALLY want get accepted.
