Roswell Park Cancer Institute Summer Program

[Summer Research Program for High School Students | Roswell Park Cancer Institute - Research and Education](<a href=“Education | Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center - Buffalo, NY”>Education | Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center - Buffalo, NY)

Has anyone ever heard of this/know what it is like? Is it worthwhile?

I have a friend who did it and loved it. She hasn’t won any major awards as of yet, if that’s what you’re looking for. However, she did just get accepted to University of Pennsylvania ED.

How competitive is it to be admitted to this program?

Hey, I actually attended this program. It is very difficult to get into, particularly if you are from out of town. Of the kids my year most are at MIT, Harvard, or similar caliber schools. There is not much to do in Buffalo, but it is great research experience and you become very close with the incredibly bright kids you live with. It somewhat depends on which lab you get put in, but you can definitely find people to help with a Siemens project. My year a few people submitted those types of things and did pretty well, the year before a kid made it to the national finalist level in a similar competition. If you have any more questions just shoot me a private message.

Hey I want to apply to this too-
any particular suggestions for the application?
