Rotc?

<p>I am done with my second year of college and for the Fall 2011 semester, I am enrolled in the AFROTC AS100 course along with the lab. I understand that if I get a slot for Field Training… I will be in school for an extra year.</p>

<p>My question is:
What are my chances of getting a slot with my current credentials?</p>

<p>GPA: 2.66(First semester was 1.25. Last three semesters have been 3.25, 2.25, 2.3333)
Major: Criminal Justice- Corrections (My original plan was to be a probation officer)
Extracurricular:
Fraternity-I have held several chairs and an officer position.(Officer-treasurer. Chairs- Fundraising, IFC delegate, Public Relations, New Member Educator)
I work for the university</p>

<p>So… understanding that my first semester was difficult for me and I have since improved my study habits as well, what would be my chances of getting a slot to field training?</p>

<p>You should go to service academy forums. They could give you a lot more advice on field training and the requirements to get in.</p>

<p>It may just be a rumor but i hear that ROTC takes more during war time.</p>

<p>Actually ROTC is taking less people and becoming increasingly harder to gain scholarships.</p>
