Rounding up GPA on resume?

I just graduated and currently have 130 gpa hours and my quality points are 387. At my school, each letter grade is worth three points. To have a 3.00, I would have to had a higher letter grade in just one more class to equal 390 quality points, giving me the exact 3.00. Is it acceptable to round this up on resumes or just leave it off? Also it should be noted that my school does not follow the ± system. I realize this sounds dumb but the difference between a 3.00 and 2.97 is crucial all depending on one class credit

Wait, are you asking whether you can exchange your actual grade for “a higher letter grade in just one more class”??

Um, no. You can’t change your grades.

When you’re caught, it will cast doubts on everything else you’ve written. If you’re hired under false pretenses-- like changing your grades-- it could lead to being fired.

GPA should be reported exactly as it is listed on your transcript so that it will match when an employer verifies it.

Oh no! Sorry if you misunderstood, I am just saying the difference between a 2.97 and 3.00 in my circumstances is just one letter grade for me. For example, last semester I received a B for an 89.5. If I received an A, I would have 130 quality points, thus giving me the 3.00. This is just an example of the fine line I am on to receive that 3.00. So on my resume, should I report 3.00 or leave it off?

Do not report a GPA you don’t have.

You don’t have a 3.00. You can’t report it.

Leave it off.

Here’s what I’m reading: “. To have a 3.00, I would have to had a higher letter grade in just one more class to equal 390 quality points…”

That means you were close to a 3.0, but missed it by one letter grade in one class.

That means you don’t have a 3.0.

Don’t round.

The answer given in reply #2 is still the same:

GPA should be reported exactly as it is listed on your transcript so that it will match when an employer verifies it.

Heed the warning from @ucbalumnus. When an employer verifies your GPA and finds that you exaggerated, your application will be immediately discarded. NEXT!
