So you come across a river, chest-deep. The Supreme Court decided in favor of using paddles to row across the river, which makes sense, because it keeps you from getting wet/accidentally drowning. On the other hand, who always has a boat and paddles on hand? Sometimes, wading through might be easier.

Rowing versus Wading, now that’s an interesting analogy. In response to your question, however, I think that we must consider the circumstances of the river. How fast is the water moving? Are there any unseen rocks? Sometimes, the cases are drastically different for different kinds of people. At times, wading through may seem easier, but at all times, we must take the necessary precautions to avoid getting swept off by the water into places we may not expect.

Dr. Ruth Westheimer just gave a sextalk at Cornell Monday night. She mentioned a little bit about abortion. Many people think that contraceptive absolutely prevents pregnancies, but in fact all forms of contraceptives are fallible. Abortion should an option for those who are pregnant due to failures in the contraception.

so you bring in the failed device??? you must be kidding. Condom police, drunken girlfriend police? Failed due to what…couldn’t get the wrapper opened?

Even if you use a condom correctly, there is a chance that it will tear. Even if you are taking pills, there is a chance that you are going to ovulate. There is a chance that the spermatocides that one uses doesn’t kill all the spermatozoa.

I don’t know the exact statistics, but i think there is liek a 10-20% failure rate if you just use a condom.

hey, I thought this was about getting across a river. personally, I think that if we as a society believe that we should provide life support and aggressive treatment to old, non viable rivers, then we should provide equal life support (via placenta) to the youngest of streams. gosh, we just think those rivers should have complete control over their own waters, but if I as a river want to give my heart to my stream, they just won’t let me, therefore no complete control. too many contradictions in our medical river community. now I’m confused…I think I’m wading unless there is a dam upstream that might let out unexpectedly, I trust my own feet more than the boat. and there you have it.

What are your moral, personal feelings about the issue?

Preperation. If you’re going to do it, use a condom, but remember, accidents can happen, like a tear. Just make sure you are willing to accept responsibility.

Additionally, there is adoption. I watched a video on abortion, and I had to leave. I can handle almost anything. I plan to become a trauma surgeon, and blood, guts, and bodily parts don’t bother me. However, this video made up my mind. If it were my girlfriend, I would fight to keep the baby. I do have a say don’t I? Come on guys, we all know that the baby has part of my DNA. So theoretically, I have a say in the child’s right to live vs. right to die.

I would like to here some more male opinions on this topic besides my own.
