Although it’s tough to wait for a specific date, I see why it’s sometimes better to release all decisions at once.

I feel for all you are waiting on RPI. Son has been waiting on Pitt since end of October and so many have gotten in. Same with our state school which prioritizes OOS applicants.

I do know of one student who was not a medalist who got accepted yesterday. Extremely high test scores, grades, course rigor, dozen AP’s all 5’s so far, etc. $38K/year merit, compared to $40k/year merit for a medalist.

does anyone know when we can expect the full aid package to come out?

I contacted the RPI Financial Aid office and they said they are working on them know and that they hope to have them starting to go out in the next few weeks.

my guess is sometime in Feb.

We just got the full financial aid package tonight! Thrilled - with the initial $38K merit, they added additional grants that bring it down to the same cost as SUNY for us.

Congrats to those who have received acceptances. Were those EA decisions or ED?

Are there other EA students/families still waiting on decisions? Their website shows 1/31, so attempting to be patient over here.

Last year was 2/1, so that date sounds reasonable.

We are still waiting for EA as well. My son applied for physics he has a 4.3 and a 1450 SAT

Kid just got a National Merit scholarship from RPI - I was happy and surprised to see it stack!

to confirm, it stacks with the $40k medalist award? Did you get need-based aid as well? Did it lower that so the cost is the same? (My son is still undecided on school so we didn’t list a college for national merit yet)

He got a 38K merit (not medal), plus 17k need-based, plus 2k National Merit, plus $5,500 loans.
