Son just got his decision! Excellent news before Christmas!! I thought decisions weren’t rolling until Jan!
My daughter just got accepted as well! RPI medalist, applied Early Action.
D26 accepted tonight as well, with $40,000/year medalist scholarship, for chemical engineering. Pleasant surprise coming out early!
Same here! D26 accepted as well with the Rensselaer Medal scholarship. Great to have this before the holidays!
We didn’t get an answer? Is it rolling?
Unsure. We weren’t expecting anything until end of January.
Odd, this didn’t happen last year! As an alumni & mom of first year student, its a great school!
Did you submit fafsa or css?
We did. In the letter they said financial aid info would be out in January.
Son got in! We were so surprised to see the email . We thought end of Jan for sure.
Wonderful holiday surprise. Received a merit scholarship but will need to wait for the full financial Aid package to see if it’s doable.
My son got in too. He’s also a medalist. Just wondering if any non-medalists got in already. So exciting!!!
Congrats to all accepted students!
Were all EA decisions released yesterday?
Waiting on an EA decision over here.
Was about to ask if there are others still waiting.
I heard that they released a portion of EA decisions early, but that the majority will come by the original notification date. I’m not sure if there was any reasoning to who got an early response.
Congratulations to the acceptances.
For those received a merit scholarship, does the students have to be nominated by the high school first for the medal?
From the NPC page, it seems to award merit to those without the medal.
Thanks
was it all medalists who found out early?
I’m not sure - my daughter was a medalist and was accepted, but I don’t know if that has anything to do with why she found out early.
I don’t recall seeing any mention of my son being a medalist in his acceptance letter. He did get a renewable 4 year merit scholarship (38k/yr). I will have to check later
