Ok, for those who know, please outline what this means for incoming students now. The class of 2019 was the cut off not mandating it however, may volunteer to sign up for it.
What parents may want to know:
- How will this impact graduating on time
- Are the students on their own finding their own job? Will there be assistance beyond the annual Career Fair Day?
- What happens to the private loans (for those who took them out to assist with expenses?) Will the school notify them so
the monthly repayment plan does not kick in? Normally, loans are due for repayment six months after leaving school.
How will the school help with this?
- How many times can a student be allowed to do this in the program for undergraduates?
- Worse case scenario, what if the student has no luck with a company offering them a job? Then what happens after they have committed to the program?
I’m just coming up with questions that I think prospective students and incoming students (and their families) may have concerning this new program at RPI. A student review and parent review (ruling out any speculative views currently out there) would help by reading first hand experience.
Thanks everyone!
