Rsi 2007

just a little over a week, guys :D

The anticipation is KILLING me!

If I don’t get into RSI, though, I have a really nice summer research project lined up with a guy at MSU and I’ll do the HSHSP there. 9 weeks in a lab = no tan. Hooray for being a nerd!

the people who started this thread aren’t posting anymore for some reason, except coriano.

RSI seems to be sending out letters early this year, guys.

I just got my acceptance letter today

(i wasn’t expecting a reply from them for at least a week, so I nearly had a heart attack)

i’m having trouble breathing, i think. wow…

Oh, wow, congratulations topasz!!! I already checked my mail today, and there was nothing. What state do you live in?

congratulations topasz, that’s awesome! maybe the rest of us should expect a letter sooner than march 31.

topaz, please confirm that you are not playing a mean joke on us?

thats awesoem though congrats… where are you from?

WHOA! MAJOR CONGRATS!
I gotta be happy for whoever gets in

… <pessimism> … maybe they are just sending out acceptance letters now … and we can expect rejections later … :frowning: </pessimism>

I kinda hope it gets here this weekend … cause I’ll be out of town … so if I get in, my parents can let me know by phone … if not, then I’ll have the rest of the weekend trip to cheer me up (though my parents probably won’t tell me if I don’t … last summer I got home and they were like “Oh yea, by the way, your grandma died 4 days ago” … and I was like …“oh… thanks for telling me”. They didn’t want to “ruin my experience”).

On the other hand, today would have been even better probably … oh well … I’ll find out soon enough …

sadly, I still doubt that I’ll get in.

Anyway, congrats topsaz. Where do you live (state-wise)? What all are you planning on researching? and for those of us who are obsessive and want to gauge chances, what are your grade/scores stats and research experience (if its not somewhere earlier in the thread)?

you sparked me to fly out the house to get the mail I had forgot outside when I was playing basketball

nadda
maybe tomorrow cause I am in NC, but this would be really really early

Topasz is not pulling your leg, folks…

Did you get something, too, CountingDown?

And congrats, Topasz!! That’s awesome.

wow, congrats topasz! :)

hmmmm now I’m getting nervous. though i am over on the west coast so it’ll probably take longer to hear from them… :(

anyway hi. i’ve actually never posted in this thread before, but haha, i’m just another nervous rsi applicant.

Uh oh … I am quite scared now. >< I wonder what the USPS time lag is between the east and west coasts … :(

But congrats topasz! At least now you’re pretty much set for an awesome summer. :)

Yes, my son got a letter. Up to him as to when he’s ready to share the contents. I will say that it was an excruciating 30 minutes between the time the mail arrived and I was able to reach him on his cell to get permission to open the envelope (he was staying after school for some activities).

Congrats to Topasz, and Countingdown (+ son)!

Where do you guys live? hopefully the truck didn’t fly by my state

and do they send the rejection letters and the acceptance letters together?

aaah…this is so nerve-racking!!!

Whoa, you guys got your letters early! Congrats from all of us at TASP. =D

woaaah no way… cool! good job guys! i don’t want to check the mail now…

congrats, topasz & countingdown’s son! you guys are amazing.

I’m in california, so i’ll have to wait a little longer
