Well, im pretty sure you can send in both or even just 1. So say you did worse on the PSAT (maybe <220) but got @ least 2200 on the SAT, I think it would be better just to send the sat, correct me if im wrong?

Also, how long do UPS/FEDEX take? Because I am mailing all my stuff on Monday because I need a signature from my school about my PSAT score. Will RSI accept the PSAT/or SAT score as a printout without a school signature or something?

I contacted Maite about this ealier; she said you MUST send in your PSAT scores at the very least. Also, do we have to print everything out and mail it in (even the stuff we completed online)? Iām very confusedā¦if possible, can somebody please make a list of everything we need to put in the envelope?

@Cordycepin: Just to give you a more reassuring answer, Iām RSI '12 and I applied with the exact same two research interests. Best of luck to you!

I second Jason. I basically applied with plant immunology (yes, this exists and is a fascinating area), and animal immunology. Just make the first category different, and direct it with the second. Oh and Iām RSI 12 too.

@IMSA2014:
yes, you have to print out everything and sent it in. Hereās a list of what I put in:

Print out of the online āPart 1ā form.

Answers to essay questions.

List of achievements

Photocopy of transcript and score reports

The āpart 4/5ā pdf with signatures

2 teacher recommendations in sealed envelopes

A copy of my transcript and score reports in a sealed envelope from my school

Self-addressed postcard (or a self-addressed envelope in my case)

And donāt forget the application fee if youāre sending in a check. I made my payment online.

once the application is submitted online, and you visit your application to print/view it says 2012 at the top of every section heading as opposed to 2013. Has anyone else seen this?

Submitted! Application #4623. I checked my application 50000 times before I could sent it in finally. I really hope I didnāt screw anything up or forget something.

@IMSA2014: somewhere else on this thread (i donāt know specific post number, but its somewhere), we decided that it was perfectly fine if the school sent those things separately. But if I were you, I would email Maite so they donāt accidentally throw out your application because itās āincomplete.ā

@kalimata: i noticed the same thing, but i think thatās just another one of their typos.

@run1116: i was Application #4308 and i submitted mine like three days ago⦠iām wondering if that means that 315 people applied in those three days or these numbers are just randomā¦

^I did. Donāt know if itās allowed, but my application was looking weak so I figured the extra space from making the margins bigger outweighed the penalization, if any, for this.

I AM SO NERVOUS GUYS!!! I am a high stress human so this is going to be terrible, waiting until the end of March⦠Oh, any alums, can you tell us whether your decision was through email or mail? Thanks! I will go stalk the forums from last year to see for myself too :D

@Babolat1: they probably wonāt throw out your application if you do, but I just edited my essays to make mine fit. i think the page limit is there to force people to be more concise and not add any fluff, and if your essays are longer because you legitimately have a lot to say, then I donāt think they will mind your adjusting the margins. after all, they didnāt say not toā¦
