^i would like to know the same thing…

If post #412 is right decissions have been made! (Can anyone confirm?)

Now to wait:(

@kraxis & purplelight: Yes, Ms. Ballestero would be an appropriate person to whom to send updates. It might be too late, though, but I suppose it doesn’t hurt to try.

@appfanfor: That was last year; no guarantees that things are done on the same schedule this year.

Did we pay $50 before? I did credit card transaction, so I don’t even remember how much. Did it show as givedirect (charity) on the credit card statement?

^It should have…

So when do you guys anticipate decisions being released? Last year was March 8 or so, although application deadlines were at least a week before this year’s. The website says by March 31, but that only sets the latest date for release, unless some sort of delay happens. We should all count on March 31, but it would be nice if we got them earlier… maybe around the 20th or so?

Can anyone from last year remember if they emailed results “early” last year? Meaning, they said they would inform everyone by some day, but actually emailed earlier on March 8th?

What I mean is has anyone that has paid by check seen a confirmation that his/her check has been cashed?

My check has been cashed. My son sent his in right before the deadline.

It’s entirely possible that checks and the like go through some financial department of sorts, so cashing them might not actually take place until much later. I’ve also seen in previous forums that they specifically email if you’re missing a component (in some cases), so I wouldn’t worry about it. Otherwise I’d generally go the online route for such things… immediate confirmation/assurance

I second @wanttogetinbadly… can anyone confirm this?

^ I wrote about how my passion for math/science developed and transitioned into talking about some of my science ECs.

I looked through past threads. We may be getting decission notices any day!!! or not.

Do they give advanced warning?

Hey guys. When should results come out?

Hey guys, I’ve been stalking this thread for a while, am applying to RSI this year, and wanted an opinion on something.
I am applying to another, local program as a backup to RSI, and need to respond to them by March 15. I don’t want to say yes, then get into RSI, but also don’t want to wait for RSI, only to not get in. I know they have already made their decisions, so do you think I could explain the situation and ask if they could tell me my application status?
Do you think this would be appropriate? How/who would you recommend asking? Thanks so much!

@offsitecoco : It’s highly unlikely we’d get decisions before mid-march,seeing as how last year’s only received them on the 8th and their deadline was a full week/ten days earlier

@cantelopemelon:
I think honesty is the best policy. You should just accept the local one just to secure your spot. And if you get accepted to RSI, you should contact the other one right away, and tell them that you have a change of plan. No matter how unhappy they are to hear the change, the truth is you would feel better if you don’t lie. Anyone would know you would want to go to RSI over other options, because RSI is highly competitive. good luck!

@dreamhuge and UnbanAgrasin;
Thanks for the responses. Dreamhuge, I would definitely be honest, but do you still think it would be ok to ask about my application status?

If you do get notification about your application status, tell us about it… I have a situation very similar to yours @cantelopemelon but I don’t get notification for a few days
