<p>just wondering, what’s the chance of getting into MIT if you were rejected from RSI? =/</p>

<p>I do not think there exists a significant correlation at all (well, I mean, if you attended RSI, it is basically a given you’ll get into MIT as well - but not the other way around). After all, there’s only something like 60-70 kids in RSI, and MIT accepts ~1,500 into the freshman class. </p>

<p>RSI is probably harder than anything you will expect to get into in your high school career - the people who get in are extremely self-selected. I personally was rejected from RSI but still ended up into MIT 2011, so don’t worry! =D</p>

<p>Yeah, I just wanted to confirm what oasis said. I was also rejected from RSI (and looking back, I had NO chance to be accepted to RSI whatsoever) and was still accepted to MIT.</p>

<p>I was also rejected from RSI and accepted RD :slight_smile: Think about it this way, RSI has < 4% acceptance rate… hard for there to be a correlation really. There’s plenty of other stuff to do during the summer.</p>

<p>Had I known RSI existed before its application deadline, I, too, probably would have been rejected from it, but then I got into MIT!</p>

<p>lol on the other hand… there’s nearly a 100% correlation between RSI/MIT acceptances ;)</p>
